Message: Power to Finish Well
Luke 10:19
Acts 1:8
1 Corinthians 4:20

Imagine this, you give a friend $10,000 on Tuesday. The next day they come to you troubled because they need $1,000 to pay their rent to avoid eviction. Most people would respond by saying "Use the $10,000 I gave you to pay your rent."

Many of us are guilty of acting like the friend who ask for $1,000 when they have been given $10,000. In Luke 10:19, God says He has given us power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Don't be deceived, the enemy has power but God who owns ALL power has given you a greater power. When the enemy comes to trouble you through dreams or situations in life, STOP feeling defeated arise and use the power God has given you!

We also examined the story of Mary and her immaculate conception. Mary became pregnant without having intercourse with a man. The impossible happened through the power of the Holy Spirit. What is going on in your life that makes you think there is no way, no solution, this is impossible. You may be right. Humanly speaking there may not be a way out and your problem may be impossible to solve. This is where you need to call on the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself said in Mark 19:26 "this is impossible with mere men but with God all things are possible" The Holy Spirit gives the power to make the impossible possible. Call on the Holy Spirit and watch the impossible in your life become possible!

We then asked the question, why does it seem like christians do not have power? We received several answers but the summation of it all is because we are not willing to make the sacrifice it takes. We no longer pray, fast, or read the Bible the way we should. Some would rather take the easy way out by paying people to pray for them or worse, going to the dark side to seek help.
Another vital reason is SIN. It is written in Isaiah 59:1-2 "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities (sins) have separated you from your God...."

We concluded by encouraging people to call upon the power of the Holy Spirit to finish strong in 2017 and go into a glorious 2018!

During offering the Holy Spirit ministered to Pastor Bola that for the rest of the year we should pray "Remember me oh Lord".
